Skunk Behavior

Skunks are nocturnal and omnivorous animals. They are opportunistic feeders and locate their food by sense of smell. Skunks eat insects, small animals, birds, eggs, worms, berries, and grasshoppers. For self-defense, skunks use their two scent glands near the base of their tails. So most animals avoid them.
